Daniel Korsman, CPA/ABV, J.D., was recently named a partner with Boulay.

 

Dan joined Boulay in 2017, providing valuation and financial advisory services. He assists business owners in transitioning their interests in a strategic manner, identifying both legal issues and tax opportunities, and providing key information to business owners and their trusted advisors. Dan develops valuation and financial models for a variety of purposes, including the purchase or sale of a business, recapitalizing a business, structuring a buy-sell agreement, making gifts, issuing equity compensation, or testing the fairness of a proposed action. Dan has performed and reviewed hundreds of valuations in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Boulay, he worked in the valuation and financial advisory groups of national and regional CPA firms.

 

Dan has a juris doctorate in law from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business economics from Saint Cloud State University. He is accredited in business valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Dan is also a task force member for the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Business Valuation Conference, and he is a board member of the Rotary Club of Golden Valley.
