Scott Johnson, CPA, was recently named a partner with Boulay. Scott rejoined Boulay in 2017 and has more than 15 years of public accounting experience. He began his career and spent more than ten years at Boulay before moving on to become co-chair of the tax department of a Minneapolis CPA firm. He then went on to spend several years with a national firm. Scott assists businesses with strategic planning and entity structuring, including acquisitions and dispositions of real estate. He has experience with commercial and residential real estate, REITS, real estate funds, developers, and property management companies, and he provides tax research on complex issues and transactions. Scott also provides representation before IRS and state taxing authorities, and he identifies business and tax planning opportunities for clients to minimize tax liability.

Nathan Miller, CPA, was recently named a partner with Boulay. Nate joined Boulay in 2015 and specializes in providing accounting and audit services to clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and professional service companies. He performs audit quality review, and he is well-versed in technical accounting and reporting matters and SEC rules and regulations. He has more than six years prior experience in public accounting focusing on audit and mergers and acquisitions due diligence, and he has more than two years prior experience in private accounting, including experience as the corporate controller of a $600 million revenue private equity owned food manufacturing company.
Daniel Korsman, CPA/ABV, J.D., was recently named a partner with Boulay. Dan joined Boulay in 2017, providing valuation and financial advisory services. He assists business owners in transitioning their interests in a strategic manner, identifying both legal issues and tax opportunities, and providing key information to business owners and their trusted advisors. Dan develops valuation and financial models for a variety of purposes, including the purchase or sale of a business, recapitalizing a business, structuring a buy-sell agreement, making gifts, issuing equity compensation, or testing the fairness of a proposed action. Dan has performed and reviewed hundreds of valuations in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Boulay, he worked in the valuation and financial advisory groups of national and regional CPA firms.
Ryan Turbes, CPA, was recently named a partner with Boulay. Ryan joined Boulay in 2011 and has 10 years of experience in public accounting. He focuses on providing transaction services to search fund, private equity, family investment offices, corporate and individuals. He also specializes in providing tax, attest, and accounting services to private and ESOP-owned clients in a variety of industries. Ryan works with his clients to provide critical transaction insights to make informed investment decisions and analyzes business operations to make recommendations for enhancing overall business performance.
Boulay recently hired Brian Obermeier as a Senior Wealth Manager. He joins the Boulay Financial Advisors, LLC team and brings with him 43 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and 20 years of experience in the financial services business.
